January 19th
Layed over in Calientas making preparations for the move which began the next day. Monday January 20th we encountered a severe rainstorm in crossing to Vegas which lasted 1 1/2 days. Layed over at Los Vegas Sunday 26 and resumed our journey the next day. Traveled on steadily through snow, (Just a little) and then into sand until Saturday, 1 February. We reached the mouth of Mojave Canyon where remained until next day. Reached our destination, The Barrels, in the Mojave river.

Sunday February 2nd
Worked up and down canyon until March 8th. Moved to Lagerges Ranch 8 miles from Daggett. Where we remained untill Mar 25 when we started for Marl Spring reaching there at 10:30 PM. March 25th

Moved from Marl Springs out 9 miles on Govt. Hales Road April 17th and from there South seven miles down, directly below the Columbia Mine where we are still camped, but will move on the morrow on south west about 12 miles almost to the Devils Playground.
My time is occupied principaly in hauling supplies out from town. In fact that is what I have been doing most of the time since we came down here.

There are ten head of horses in the party and they consume quite an amount of feed.
