Round Robin letter from Lu November 1977-Mark's CPA

 Atlanta, Ga

Nov 6 1977

Dear Family- I better write a note tonite or I won't get to it for a day or two. It's been busy ever since the R.R. arrived.

Yesterday was special. Mark, our oldest boy received his C.P.A certificate at a special Luncheon at the Hilton Hotel. He's been working towards that for a long time and we're very proud of him. It was fun and very nice too. JoAnne is expecting about Christmas time and so far no problems. Their little girl Kristy is doing great.

I'm having kind of a rough time keeping up with my High Council activities now days-(Scouting-Primary etc)-too many activities & meetings and a back that won't cooperate. That bad disc has been acting up - with a week in the hospital (traction and a milogram) and an uncertain future. I'm back at work half time and hoping for the best.

The trip west (when we wrote last) was great but we didn't have as much time as we'd like and couldn't see half the people we wanted to. The trip home was long & beautiful-through Colorado and the Ozarks and then to a National Trails Symposium in the Smoky Mountains of Western North Carolina.

Since we got home it's been work, church & my back.

Wickie is back at work at IRS. She's having a problem with her Thyroid adjustment but I hope her Dr's will have it under control soon.

Se shouldn't talk about troubles-things still look good and having sch a great family is the best part. I know we can't get to know you all the way we'd like to but as time goes on maybe we can correct that.

Our love to all

Lu & Wickie.
